Tour Plan
You will be received at the Airport and briefed by our representative then board your safari vehicle and drive towards the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley view point for great picture opportunities.
The Great Rift Valley is geologic phenomenon, which divides Kenya neatly down the length of the country essentially separating east from west. Today's Rift Valley is characterized by uninhabitable desert and fertile farmland, flat arid plains, steep escarpments and 07 lakes in Kenya. Descend to the floor of the Rift Valley and drive across it to arriving in time for lunch at Sekenani Camp / similar.
In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive at 1600 hrs. Have a chance to Spot lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators if you are lucky, this is the highlight of your day. This evening, enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Overnight at the Camp/Lodge.
After breakfast, proceed for game-viewing drive in the Mara at 0630 hrs and 1600 hrs respectively with mid morning and early afternoon at leisure in your camp or an option of full day in the park with lunch boxes and drive back to the camp at 4.30pm. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is probably the most famous and most visited Reserve in Kenya.
It offers breathtaking views (as seen in the film "Out of Africa", much of which was filmed here), an extraordinary density of animals including "the Big Five" (lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros) and may varieties of plains game. An impressive feature is the annual migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles from the plains of the Serengeti that cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's grasslands from late June, tracked by predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, and hyena, and circled by vultures as their journey unfolds.
Their dramatic river crossings are a reality for tourists visiting in early July-August. Apart from the seasonal migration, game viewing is excellent all year round. Game includes elephant, black rhino, buffalo, plains zebra, hartebeest and big cats. The rivers are home to hippo and crocodiles. There are about 452 bird species, 53 of which are raptors.
In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp and relax at own leisure. Overnight at preferred Camp/Lodge.
Breakfast will be served as from 0630 hrs. Depart by 0730 hrs and then drive back to Nairobi arriving in the early afternoon at Carnivore Restaurant where farewell lunch will be served. The Carnivore is justifiably referred to as Africa’s Greatest Eating Experience.
Twice voted amongst the world’s 50 best restaurants by UK based Restaurant magazine, the Carnivore is an amazing open-air meat specialty restaurant that has strikingly different food service and atmosphere to any other restaurant in Kenya. Whole joints of meat - legs of lamb and pork, haunches of exotic meat, rumps of beef, sirloins, racks of lamb, spare ribs, sausages, chicken wings, skewered kidneys, even crocodile, and other tasty morsels - are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant.
Thereafter, drop off at JKIA for you flight back home.
